Growing up, I was always around dogs and had a deep love for animals. Still, I never would have guessed that I’d one day become a professional dog trainer. Like many people, I spent years bouncing between different industries, searching for work that felt meaningful. Dog training wasn’t part of the plan—it found me.

Two Dogs That Changed Everything
My path into dog training began in 2019 when I came across two young pit bulls who had been abandoned together in the desert. At the time, I wasn’t financially able to commit to them long term, so I decided to foster them. While caring for them, it quickly became clear that they were highly reactive, which pushed me to start training them myself.
As the weeks went on, I grew attached. I realized that I didn’t want to hand them off—I wanted to be the one to give them the life they truly deserved.
Discovering Training, Purpose, and Psychology
Through a coworker, I was introduced to sport training, and it completely changed how I viewed dogs and training as a whole. I was exposed to a deeper understanding of dog psychology, structure, and communication—far beyond what I’d known before. That experience opened the door to a new way of thinking and working with dogs.
From there, one thing led to another. What started as a necessity became a passion, and before I knew it, I had transitioned into dog training full time—doing work that finally felt aligned with who I am.
